This role will serve as an HR Officer, aligned to the LatAm Region. The position will play a critical role in enhancing HR support to the aligned countries by partnering with operational teams across the region, HRBPs and beyond to ensure client and staff operational requirements are met. To be successful in this role, you will need to build relationships across HR and the Firm, learn the business, its leaders and organizational structure and problem solve across a wide range of HR topics.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Work in close partnership with HR Operational teams, and Centers of Excellence as well as HRBPs striving to scale and centralize processes while ensuring compliance. The role will lead the ongoing work to address process gaps and issues for BlackRock LatAm (Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Chile).
  • Point of escalation to manage local language operational deliverables such as referencing, local language required documents, local regulatory reporting (leveraging Workday reporting). letter and contract review and 2nd level support for local HR requests (point of escalation).
  • Point of contact for local authorities for execution of external obligations, working closely with partners in HR Operations, such as Reward Operations, Benefits and Payroll.
  • Assist America's Operations team in triaging local operational issues.
  • Partner with BlackRock Immigration (and external visa counsel), on the smooth management of visas for the US and the Region to ensure there is a good leader and employee experience.
  • On an ongoing basis check documents for accuracy (such as contracts of employment) to ensure accuracy.

You Need To Have

  • BA/Bsc degree or equivalent (certifications and course work in specific areas of HR expertise preferred) and 2+ years' experience as an HR professional or HR consultant across a number of LatAm countries (Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Chile), working for a global firm.
  • Ability to identify process improvement opportunities, and can partner regionally and globally to facilitate these improvements.
  • Demonstrated reporting and analytical skills, fluency with MS Office and ability to summarize information tailored to different audiences.
  • Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail and high standards for accuracy.
  • Strong project management skills with ability to anticipate and hit deadlines related to client deliverables.
  • Native in Spanish and fluent in English (Portuguese is a plus).
  • Fast learner, proactive, agile and adaptable with ability to function in a fast changing, global environment.

  • Experience with Workday.
  • Excellent interpersonal and partnership skills.
  • Commercial acumen and demonstrated interest in financial services and/or technology.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, in Spanish and English.
