Moulding Engineering Director

Job Description

• Moulding Engineering is focus to assure our equipment and production processes accomplish with safety, reliability, product quality and confidentiality LEGO requirements. Our key focus is to seek for excellence on moulding area through personnel development and the improvement of processes, as well as the implementation of new platforms, being self-sustainable and following our customers expectations.

Core Responsibilities

• Ensure that machinery, equipment and production processes meets the reliability requirements of the company and product quality.
• Optimally manage department resources.
• Coordinate staff area manufacturing engineering, process engineering, project engineering and Training area.
• Support to Production and service areas.
• Built capabilities into the the Molding areas through formal trainings and Academies
• Feedback and supervision and set individual and group goals.
• Handle budget.
• Ensure development and implementation of continuous improvement plans.
• Support the focus on safety in all activities of the department.
• Implement and / or receipt of machinery, processes and new products.
• Handle the flow of information between subordinates and Management.
• Make development plans for the organization and the individuals in your organization.
• Ensure the development in respect of work team, individuals and the total output of molding production area.
• Perform periodic basis in formal and informal assessments as well as the perfomance and address any necessary development.
• Ensure that the right proficiencies are present.
• Develop critical metric to evaluate the performance according with the company estrategy.
• Work with other sites globally to maintain the collaboration and share good practices.
• Take ownership for the appropriate integration and / or implementation of the QEHS System in the operational processes of your area and ensure its efficiency.
• Assign the necessary resources for the management of the QEHS system in the area.
• Provide support, participate proactively and demonstrate leadership on QEHS in your area.
• Align with the QEHS legal requirements, standards (External / internal) and others applicable to your area.

Are you up for the challenge?

• Experience as Engineering Director in a manufacturing environment.
• Moulding experience is a desirable.
• Personnel management, analysis and problem solving, self-directed, results-oriented and customer focus.
• Manufacturing processes, plastic injection, Microsoft Office, strategic planning and Project Management.
