Finance Operations Manager
to lead our Mexico City service center operations and play a key role in driving efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement across finance and shared services functions.

Responsibilities
Reporting to the Director of Process Excellence, the
Finance Operations Manager
is responsible for overseeing day-to-day service center operations, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality, compliant, and efficient shared services. This role combines strategic leadership, people management, and operational excellence, with a strong focus on continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.

  • Lead and manage all site-level operations, ensuring smooth workflows, optimal resource utilization, and consistent achievement of SLAs and KPIs.
  • Oversee end-to-end service delivery across multiple functions (e.g., CPS, Collections, Customer Care, Multiple Listing), driving standardization and best practices.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging Lean, Six Sigma, automation, and data analytics to enhance efficiency and service quality.
  • Develop and execute the local GBS strategy, aligned with global GBS objectives and broader business goals.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for regional business leaders, building strong partnerships and ensuring high levels of stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Build, lead, coach, and develop a high-performing, engaged team, managing the full talent lifecycle including hiring, performance management, and retention.
  • Own site-level budget management, ensuring cost efficiency, transparency, and effective resource planning.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, regional, and global regulations, company policies, and industry standards, proactively identifying and mitigating risk.
  • Stay current with finance and shared services trends, applying innovative solutions that support UL Solutions' Process Excellence agenda.
  • Act as a role model for UL Solutions' Vision, Mission, and Values, fostering collaboration, trust, and a strong customer-centric mindset.
  • Adhere to the UL Code of Conduct and all physical and digital security practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, IT, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
  • 6+ years of experience leading shared services, GBS, or finance operations in a high-volume, performance-driven environment.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, influence stakeholders, and drive results through others.
  • Strong experience in process improvement, transformation, and automation initiatives.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working in cross-functional and/or global environments.
  • Solid organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic setting.
  • Strong customer-focused mindset with a commitment to service excellence.
  • Lean Six Sigma, PMP, or similar certifications are a plus.
  • English - Fluent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-starter with strong problem-solving abilities and a collaborative leadership style.
