Monterrey, Nuevo León, México Hunter Douglas A tiempo completo

One of the pillars of our North American division is spread across four different sites in Mexico where a blend of manufacturing and fabrication occurs. At each location we pride ourselves on exemplary safety and employee-first standards, as we pioneer production processes to be best in class. It is our focus on quality and growth that makes us an employer of choice and helps us maintain our culture of excellence.

Position Overview

The Quality Manager is responsible for leading all quality assurance and control activities within the plant to ensure that products meet company standards, customer expectations, and regulatory requirements. This role oversees the implementation of quality systems, drives continuous improvement in alignment with SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost) performance metrics, and fosters a strong culture of quality and operational excellence.

The position plays a key leadership role in supporting fabrication operations, working closely with production, engineering, logistics, and supply chain to ensure consistent product quality and efficient problem resolution.

What you'll do

  • Safety & Quality (SQDC Focus)

    • Ensure adherence to all Safety and Quality standards across fabrication and assembly operations.
    • Own the Quality component of the SQDC scorecard—driving metrics such as defect rate, customer complaints, scrap, rework, and first-pass yield.
    • Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for internal and external quality issues.
    • Oversee product and process audits to ensure compliance with standards and continuous improvement.
    • Manage quality documentation, including control plans, inspection criteria, and testing procedures.
  • Delivery & Cost

    • Partner with Production and Engineering to reduce downtime related to quality holds or rework.
    • Support process improvements that increase throughput and reduce waste or material losses.
    • Drive cost-of-poor-quality (COPQ) reduction initiatives.
    • Monitor supplier performance and partner with Procurement on supplier quality development.

Who you are

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Quality, or a related field required.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in manufacturing quality management, preferably in consumer goods, metal fabrication, or similar industries.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools required; certification (Green Belt/Black Belt) preferred.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 or equivalent quality systems strongly desired.
  • Experience in SQDC or operational excellence frameworks preferred.
  • Proven leadership in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
  • Strong understanding of quality control principles, inspection methods, and statistical techniques.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive change.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
