Position Description
Coordinates and evaluates customer specifications to determine manufacturing processes for a new or existing product that will meet — or can be modified to meet — customer specifications. Will coordinate the activities of manufacturing engineers to optimize the selected product or process designs. Develops new products or processes as needed. Provides support to engineers and technicians in training, troubleshooting, characterization, design, and development of products or processes.
Primary Responsibilities
- Interact with the corporate product manager and internal senior management, the customer, the sales team, and product engineering to select, modify, and optimize products or processes that meet customer requirements, using design review meetings and/or statistical tools that will serve as a guide to develop and optimize processes that comply with customer specifications.
- Lead the team in the design, optimization, launch, and manufacturing of the product and further optimize processes to meet customer specifications related to functionality.
- Manage design reviews and FSA.
- Further optimize production processes, cycle times, cost reduction, and offshore transfers.
- Update and actively participate in processes that may have the potential to be new technology for future applications.
- Find and define the best technology for product manufacturing, specifically in equipment and new processes.
- Lead process integration for the integration strategy.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
- +5 years of experience in a similar position
