Role Overview

The Cloud Security Contractor will focus on strengthening security across a large, complex, and rapidly expanding cloud environment. This role requires deep expertise in cloud security architecture, governance, and best practices to ensure solutions are secure by design. The contractor will collaborate closely with multiple product teams and business units to embed security throughout the development and deployment lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain cloud security best practices across multi-cloud environments
  • Partner with product teams to ensure secure-by-default architecture and configurations
  • Review cloud designs and deployments for security risks and compliance gaps
  • Develop and enforce cloud security standards, policies, and guardrails
  • Support identity and access management (IAM), network security, encryption, and logging strategies
  • Assist with cloud risk assessments and remediation planning
  • Provide guidance on secure DevOps and CI/CD pipeline integrations
  • Support incident response related to cloud security events

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, and/or GCP)
  • Deep understanding of cloud security architecture, IAM, network security, and data protection
  • Experience working with multiple product and engineering teams
  • Knowledge of security frameworks and best practices (NIST, CIS, Zero Trust)
  • Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
