Headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts with offices in 25 countries around the world, Syniti operates in all global regions and industry verticals, and maintains a 100% client success rate across thousands of complex data projects and initiatives.General Summary**The Principal Cloud Operations Information Security Engineer is responsible for architecting, implementing and managing information security systems & solutions that enable Syniti to maintain compliance with its security governance program, contractual requirements & general security**industry best practices.**The individual is responsible for enabling compliance with the security program which encompasses customer contract obligations, relevant regulatory compliance as well as best practice industry standards. The Principal Cloud Operations Information Security Engineer will participate in the creation, evaluation, and refining of existing cloud operations information security policies & processes in alignment with corporate IT security practices and other regulatory and customer commitments.Key Responsibilities- Responsible for ensuring compliance with a security governance program that aligns across all Syniti business requirements and industry best practices- Responsible for the development of processes supporting the cloud operations security governance program- Responsible for implementing and maintaining the technical solutions needed to fulfill the business security governance program requirements across the entire cloud operations environment both in private cloud and public cloud hyperscalers including AWS- Handle escalations from Syniti’s SOC for cloud operations in alignment with defined security incident handling practices- Responsible for operationalizing new infosec technologies & processes instituted across the cloud operations environment by collaborating with service delivery teams as well as providing necessary training and documentationProfessional Skills & Abilities- Excellent communication skills and experience in driving cross department initiatives in order to comply with security governance programs- Strong understanding of all facets of information security systems including firewalls, VPNs PAM, IAM, DLP, EDR, SIEMs, AV, IPS/IDS, system hardening (STIGs/CIS)- Strong knowledge of AWS security technologies including AWS inspector, guard duty, security hub, WAF, etcStrong knowledge of AWS networking technologies including transit gateway, vpc peering, security groups, NAT gateways, internet gateways, and cloudWAN- Strong understanding of vulnerability scanning, scoring & remediation- Strong technical writing and presentation skills- Experienced in implementing infosec solutions and processes with the mindset that business operations & customer experience must come first and can’t be materially hindered new security systems.- Awareness of emerging infosec technologies- Self-motivated to learn and growTechnical Skills & Experience- 12+ years of experience in job specific skills.- 8+ years working in information security- 5+ years of experience in AWS Network and Security technologies- 5+ years as an IT & infosec practitioner with a broad experience across a broad set of infosec systems & solutions including firewalls, VPNs, PAM, IAM, DLP, EDR, SIEMs, AV, IPS/IDS, system hardening (STIGs/CIS)- 3+ years of experience in IT service delivery for either a cloud operations or managed services organization.- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.**BENEFITS**:- Ability to work remotely with a talented, diverse, global team.- Competitive compensation and career growth opportunities.- Comprehensive health and wellness packages.- A conducive and agile work environment emphasizing work-life balance.- Opportunity to influence p
