Manager Production

Responsibility:
• Prepare statistical and administrative reports.
• Lead and manage production.
• Prepare metrics reports.
• Ensure that the department's budget is adhered to.
• Ensure compliance with production plans.
• Ensure compliance with the continuous improvement program.
• Ensure the care and safety of all personnel.
• Review production planning processes, in conjunction with production control.
• Ensure the monitoring of strategies to quickly adjust production volumes in response to increases and decreases in demand.
• Manage the adequate provision of personnel and resources to meet the demand for products and services.
• Establish links with other departments to ensure adequate and timely support for production areas.
• Lead the weekly capacity meeting to provide direction to the team.
• Responsible for implementing strategies to create a climate of effective labor relations in terms of handling complaints and applying fair disciplinary measures.
• Ensure that staff participate in the continuous improvement program and that implementations are sustained.
• Implement lean manufacturing using the TRANSFORM program.
Requirements:
- Engineering, preferably electrical or mechanical. Master's degree desirable.
- 5 years or more of experience as a Production Manager in the electrical industry (essential).
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques.
- Knowledge of budgeting.
- Fluent English, spoken and written.
