Network Engineer – SD-WAN

You will be responsible for the configuration, monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our SD-WAN and security platform, including:

  • Peplink SDX-Pro hubs
  • SpeedFusion tunnels
  • FortiGate VM clusters
  • Multi-tenant VDOM configurations
  • Datacenter switching & VLAN infrastructure
  • Customer onboarding and support
  • MSP ticket handling.

This role is ideal for someone who loves networking, high-availability architecture, and solving real-world connectivity issues for businesses.

Key ResponsibilitiesSD-WAN Operations

  • Configure and manage SpeedFusion tunnels for NexusWAN customers
  • Monitor circuit performance, jitter, packet loss, and throughput
  • Maintain bonding, WAN smoothing, and traffic shaping policies
  • Support multi-WAN architecture (fiber, coax, 5G)

Security Layer (NexusWAN Secure)

  • Manage FortiGate VM clusters and multi-tenant VDOMs
  • Maintain IPS, web filtering, and security profiles
  • Troubleshoot firewall issues and manage policy tuning
  • Coordinate with SIEM/NOC partners on alerts

Datacenter Infrastructure

  • Maintain Dell/virtualized servers running FortiGate VMs
  • Monitor core switches (FortiSwitch, Cisco, etc.)
  • Maintain VLAN mappings for 200+ customers
  • Monitor HA pairs for SDX-Pro, servers, and firewalls

Support & Customer Success

  • Resolve tickets submitted by MSP partners
  • Assist with customer onboarding and network cutovers
  • Troubleshoot performance issues and escalate when needed
  • Document network diagrams, changes, and procedures

RequirementsTechnical Skills

  • 3+ years of network engineering experience
  • Strong understanding of routing, switching, VLANs, STP, LACP
  • Experience with any SD-WAN platform (Peplink preferred, not required)
  • Experience with FortiGate firewalls (VDOM experience preferred)
  • Strong Linux & virtualization skills (VMware, Proxmox, or Hyper-V)
  • Fundamental understanding of BGP, OSPF, IPsec tunnels

Preferred

  • Peplink SpeedFusion experience
  • Fortinet NSE 4 or higher
  • Experience with multi-tenant firewall environments
  • Datacenter experience (rack, power, fiber cross-connects)
