LanyGames
is developing
Exotic Cars VI
, a technically ambitious Unreal Engine 5 project focused on
large-scale, fully replicated 1:1 cities
, high-fidelity vehicles, and seamless open-world traversal.

We are seeking a
Senior Unreal Engine 5 Developer
to work on gameplay and large-world systems within highly dense urban environments. This role focuses on building performant, scalable solutions while collaborating closely with engine programmers, artists, and designers to ensure visual quality without sacrificing runtime performance.

This is not a generic gameplay role. You will work on systems that directly impact world scale, streaming behavior, and player experience across massive environments.

Technical Challenges & Scope

  • Development and optimization of
    1:1 scale replicated cities
  • Performance optimization of dense urban environments
  • Collaboration with engine-level systems to
    eliminate traditional loading screens
  • Working with
    World Partition, streaming, and runtime asset management
  • Profiling and resolving CPU, GPU, and memory bottlenecks
  • Ensuring gameplay systems scale correctly across massive worlds

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement gameplay and world systems using
    Unreal Engine 5
  • Develop features using
    C++ and Blueprints
    with a focus on scalability
  • Collaborate with engine programmers to align gameplay with streaming constraints
  • Optimize gameplay systems for large-world performance
  • Debug complex runtime issues related to streaming and world traversal
  • Contribute to best practices, documentation, and technical decision-making
  • Mentor junior developers when needed

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of professional software engineering or game development experience
  • Strong experience with
    Unreal Engine (UE4/UE5)
  • Solid
    C++
    skills
  • Experience developing real-time interactive applications
  • Strong understanding of performance optimization fundamentals
  • Professional English communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct experience with
    Unreal Engine 5
  • Experience working on open-world or large-scale environments
  • Console development experience
  • Familiarity with profiling tools and performance analysis
  • Experience shipping at least one commercial project

Location & Work Model

  • On-site position based in Mexico
  • Remote work is
    not available
  • Close in-person collaboration is required due to the technical nature of the project

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base annual salary: approximately USD $116,000
  • Full-time position
