BASIC FUNCTION


Responsible for optimizing IT spend globally, at a corporate level, for all business units. Accountable for key supplier selection decisions within category, working closely with the IT team. Prepares RFPs and evaluates supplier proposals to determine the best overall solution based upon total cost of ownership. Responsible for contractual negotiations within category. Relies on extensive industry knowledge, experience, and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Responsible for setting performance objectives and strategy within category.


SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES


o Support strategic project execution to achieve best outcomes for IT delivery & cost efficiencies

o Plan and manage the approach to agreement renewals

o Cross-functional RFx development, roll-out, and evaluation; including supplier selection, proposal analysis, and negotiation

o Raise demand management considerations to ensure effective and efficient spending

o Identify contractual needs and establish agreements that accommodate

o Support (and contribute to) internal stakeholder timelines and budgets


RELATIONSHIPS AND CONTACTS


Supervisory Relationships:

1.     Reports to Strategic Sourcing Manager (IT/Telecom)

2.     Supervisory responsibility

·       Responsible for the quality of the discipline (dotted-line responsibility) for 1 or more IT Buyer (India)

Organization Relationships:

·       Reports into Indirect Procurement (Operations) with close partnership of Vendor Management Office (IT)

External Business Relationships:

·       Interfaces with all IT/telecom vendors, with respect to any services & products provided to Rehlko.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS


REQUIRED COMPETENCIES

Business/Technology

  • Contract Proficiency

    • Strong understanding of business and legal interpretations of contract T&Cs

    • Proficient in working with Domestic & International Law

    • Proven ability to manage complex / sophisticated commercial agreements

    • Comfortable operating with a high degree of independence on contract negotiations

  • Collaboration

    • Understanding potential differing needs between Internal & External customers.

    • Consistently exceed customer expectations by dealing with internal complexities across multiple business units in a manner invisible to customers

  • Negotiation

    • Capable of creating pre-negotiation strategy

    • Experienced in negotiating/managing IT spend.

    • Ability to negotiate with varying degrees of leverage, utilize advanced financial techniques, and build market comparable cost analysis.

    • Skilled in Analysis of cost structures related to marketing products and services

    • Solution-oriented, takes ownership in the resolution of recurring problems

    • Skilled in implementing continuous improvement opportunities within the supply base

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree Business, Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations, IT or related subject.

  • Minimum 7 years of professional experience and 5 years of IT purchasing experience

  • Significant experience leading negotiations and contract management with agencies of all sizes

  • Experience with managing & delegating responsibilities to offshore IT Buyer resources

  • Strongly preferred: experience utilizing supplier management and contract management systems (Ariba or similar), SAP, ServiceNow
