Role Description

Tax compliance - Ensuring company meet all tax obligations by preparing and submitting tax returns, tax computations and any other necessary forms.

Tax planning – Preparation and analysis of changes in tax law and considering company's affairs within law to diminish future tax liabilities.

Main Responsibilities

1. Senior Tax Coordinator will be responsible of calculate and processing monthly tax payment of local Taxes (Income, ieps, etc) and coordinate and review with External Tax Firm correct calculation of VAT and submit declarations on time. Follow up to changes to Federal Taxes, as well interpret Local legislation, decrees and Tax Rules and Regulations, to comply with the Tax obligations established by Tax Authority and that are applicable to the Company.

2. Will be responsible for Tax Accounting and Tax compliance matters. The Senior Tax Coordinator should have a high-level understanding to perform these activities.

3. Prepare all the tax calculations, reconciliations and working papers that support the figures presented in the Tax Accounting Reconciliation for the Annual Tax payment, identifying areas for improvement to be able to comply with what the tax authorities request.

4. Together with Tax Manager will develop strategies to implements best practices and Tax process efficiencies.

5. Assist with Tax Accounting journal entries and Monthly and Quarterly account reconciliations/ Control quarterly and Annal Tax provision Package.

6. Calculation and control deferred Tax Accounts Balances.

7. Assure compliance with external and internal audits requirements.

8. Provide reports and information that is required by other Tax Areas. 

9. Support Tax Manager to coordinate the submission of VAT tax returns, preparing the working papers and coordinating together with the other areas (internal and external) involved in the process to request the information that must be presented to the tax authorities to comply with the information requirements in time.

Qualifications (Training, Education & Prior Experience)

Education: Bachelor degree of Public Accounting

Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience in corporation tax ( Income & VAT) and deep knowledge of Mexico Tax Performance.

• Specialty in Taxes

• Recent verifiable experience in support VAT refunds.

• Use of advanced Excel (advanced forms indispensable)

• Tax Projects implementation

Skills:

• Experiente in México Direct and Indirect Tax determination and compliance

• Strong interpersonal, written and oral communications skills

• Strong analytical and drafting skills

• High level of professionalism and commitment

• Strong SAT software knowledge and proficiency in SAP

• Willingness to make decisions and take over responsibilities

• Proactive, results oriented, take the initiative and support other teams

• Feedback effectiveness, ability to process large amounts of information, willing to work under pressure and tight deadlines

• The position will work in very sensitive and tight deadlines / pressures.
