ABOUT THE POSITION
This role is key to building our reputation for delivering excellent insights and support to our clients, while also using PR skills that apply a growing knowledge of media. It requires being a liaison between the client and the firm and managing staff resources to achieve project goals in a timely and effective way. Equally important, this person would be integral to account strategy and outcomes and would need to develop a deep understanding of client requirements, their budget and industry to lead client meetings and discussions.
What Will You Do In Your Day To Day?
- Exhibit high degree of accuracy in overseeing press releases, advisories, client correspondence and media correspondence.
- Act as the first point of contact for client questions and requests, ensuring efficient and timely responses.
- Work with internal and external teams to develop project schedules, statements of work, and creative briefs to keep everyone involved aligned.
- Manage PR and communications for corporate clients.
- Plan, coordinate and implement client campaigns and initiatives.
- Track and report media coverage on a regular basis.
- Implement, update, and propose improvements to the Communication Plan to meet and exceed client objectives.
- Conduct research regarding editorial, speaking and award opportunities for executives and clients.
- Research client products, services, plans, competitors, and target markets in order to develop the insight needed for successful project outcomes.
- Collaborate on proposal writing for potential clients as part of the firm's business development initiatives.
What We Are Looking For
- Experienced communications professional (1-3 years relevant experience) capable of managing complex accounts and stakeholders.
- Fluent in Spanish and English (bilingual), able to manage client accounts and lead calls in both languages.
- Familiarity with the regional Latin America media environment. Familiarity with one or more specific Latin American markets, cultures, and business environments is a plus.
- Strong understanding of business fundamentals; background in banking, finance, or corporate accounts is a strong plus.
- Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and align with different teams from across the country and throughout the region.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
- Demonstrates agility and adaptability in fast-paced environments
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to present ideas clearly and professionally.
- Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to develop visually appealing slide decks in Canva and/or Google Slides is a strong plus.
- Experience managing high-reputation-risk situations, including issues management and crisis preparedness.
- Experience producing strategic analysis and advisory deliverables, not only executional outputs.
- High standards of accuracy, discretion, and judgment when handling sensitive or confidential information.
- Experience with media relations in the U.S., U.S. Hispanic, and/or Latin American market(s) is a strong plus.
Academic Requirements
- B.A. degree in communication, journalism, media, public relations or related study.
