Position: Room Service Order Taker

Department: Food & Beverage

Reports to: Room Service Supervisor / Manager

Job Summary:

The Room Service Order Taker is responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience by accurately receiving, processing, and coordinating in-room dining orders. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong service-oriented mindset to ensure orders are handled efficiently and in accordance with brand standards.

Key Responsibilities:


• Answer room service calls promptly and professionally, using the approved greeting standards.


• Accurately take food and beverage orders, ensuring all details, preferences, and special requests are clearly recorded.


• Provide menu knowledge, recommendations, and upselling opportunities in a courteous and natural manner.


• Enter orders into the POS system correctly and communicate effectively with the kitchen and service team.


• Monitor order timing and follow up to ensure timely and accurate delivery.


• Handle guest inquiries, complaints, or special requests with professionalism and empathy, escalating when necessary.


• Maintain a thorough knowledge of menus, ingredients, allergens, and hotel policies.


• Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and service standards at all times.


• Support the Room Service team during peak hours or operational needs.

Qualifications & Skills:


• Previous experience in room service, call center, or food & beverage operations preferred.


• Excellent verbal communication skills
