The Senior Accountant is a key member of the accounting team reporting directly to the Controller, with direct interaction with senior leadership.TheSenior Accountantwill ensure monthly financial statements are reported timely and accurately and be a key driver in several strategic and continuous improvement projects. The senior accountant role will work cross functionally with teams in Mexico, Canada, and China, gaining exposure to international tax and compliance requirements and accounting standards. This is a dynamic and engaging role, requiring solid technical accounting skills and continuous improvement mindset.Summary Of Essential Job Functions - Senior AccountantPrepare financial statements and supporting schedules in accordance with month-end close schedulePrepare monthly account reconciliations of balance sheet accountsResearch and reconcile all material discrepancies within GL accountsAssist with preparation of year-end review with external accounting firmAssist in the design and preparation of budgets and forecastsAnalyze gross profit for North America facilitiesAssist in maintaining manufacturing application (Infor Product - Visual Manufacturing)Monitor and maintain manufacturing burden rates at each facility to ensure full absorption of manufacturing overheadAssist in conducting physical inventories and monitoring cycle count program for North America facilitiesFill in for other team members as needed to support vacations and work-flow volumesParticipate in Kaizen projects and learn the DMAIC process for continuous improvementOther duties may be assigned.RequirementsBachelor's degree (B.S./B.A.) in Accounting or Finance3+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, preferably in public accounting or manufacturing environmentFluent in English and bilingualQualifications And Competencies - Senior AccountantAbility to communicate effectively and consistently financial and accounting issuesAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and business analytics toolsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to interact effectively with team members throughout the enterpriseAbility to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, balancing priorities and deliverables.Team player with an ability to work independently.Resume must be submitted in EnglishTravelEmployee must be able to travel
