Position Overview:

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Supervisor lead team of operators and work cell leaders in high quality, lean, efficient production of membrane products. The PS will train, supervise, coach, and evaluate workers and floor leaders needed to meet production requirements of shift. They will also lead assigned shift personnel in maintaining a safe and compliant workplace. Handle other miscellaneous department functions and participate in project activities as needed to help achieve the goals of the group.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure lean flow on production lines will be continuously managed/ improved as needed throughout year.
• Identify root cause of any reported product quality problems will be determined and eliminated.
• Combat obstacles to lean, efficient, high-quality production (including equipment problems, raw material problems, process problems, training problems, etc.) will be promptly removed as needed.
• Conduct process audits as needed to ensure that critical steps are performed as specified on a sustained basis.
• Accurately handle transactions associated with shift activity.
• Assessed and communicate staffing requirements. Ensure new staff will be hired and trained as needed. Strategically assigned employees to roles based on their capabilities to optimize the performance of the group.
• Provide guidance and tools that encourages employees to upgrade and expand their skills. Appropriately recognized them for their contributions.
• Process performance reviews on schedule including input for salary planning purposes.
• Resolved non-compliance and disciplinary problems in accordance with KSS guidelines and direction from KSS Management.
• Ensure all processes will be conducted in accordance with all safety and regulatory standards.
• Conduct safety inspections and JHA's to ensure a safe workplace. Ensure all operators understand the safety and compliance take priority over production.
• Report, investigate, and properly resolve any safety or compliance incidents.

Qualifications:

• 5 or more years of experience in manufacturing operations leadership and production activities.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
• Strong leadership and management attributes.
• Strong communication (verbal and written) & problem-solving skills.
• Proficient Computer Skills (MS Office, ERP Systems, etc.)
• Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
• General understanding of business and management principles.
• Knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory, and stewardship processes.
• Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills.
• Ability to create accountability and lead by example.

Physical Requirements:

• This position is required to be onsite daily.
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on a computer
• Must be able to ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and in proximity to loud equipment.
• Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Must be able to see and respond to dangerous situations.
• Must be able to wear personal protective gear when touring the production floor.
