Supplier Quality Engineer

Location: Salinas Victoria, Nuevo León

Company: International Manufacturing Company

Reports to: Quality Manager – USA

Position Summary

As a Resident Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that the products manufactured by our subcontracted supplier meet the company's quality standards.

You will work onsite at the supplier's facility in Salinas Victoria, acting as the direct quality liaison between our company and the production site.

This role involves implementing, monitoring, and improving quality processes and engineering practices in close collaboration with the supplier's team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise quality control activities on the production line.
  • Conduct inspections, testing, and internal audits to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Identify, record, and follow up on non-conformities, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
  • Support continuous improvement plans and defect reduction initiatives.
  • Ensure materials, processes, and final products comply with international customer standards.
  • Report to the Quality Manager in the U.S. on key quality metrics, performance, and improvement opportunities.
  • Work closely with operations to ensure quality from raw material to finished product.

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • Previous experience supervising quality in an industrial production environment.
  • Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (e.g., 5S, root cause analysis, statistical process control).
  • Team-oriented with strong communication skills and ability to drive corrective actions.
  • Experience in manufacturing and quality standards is a plus.
  • Minimun English Level: B2
