The Role
We are seeking an IT Support Technician to join our internal IT team and provide hands-on technical support for our Monterrey office. This role is responsible for maintaining hardware, supporting end users, managing physical network infrastructure, and ensuring all technology systems operate reliably
This is an on-site position requiring daily presence at our office.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-level technical support to employees via ticket system, phone, email, and in-person requests.
- Install, configure, and maintain PCs, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices.
- Perform routine hardware maintenance, upgrades, and repairs.
- Support and troubleshoot Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, etc.).
- Assist with Windows operating system installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Maintain and troubleshoot physical network infrastructure (cabling, switches, routers, access points).
- Manage server room equipment and assist with basic server maintenance tasks.
- Document all support activities in the ticketing system and maintain accurate records.
- Set up workstations and technology for new employee onboarding.
- Manage hardware inventory and coordinate equipment procurement when needed.
- Assist with backup procedures and basic data recovery tasks.
- Support video conferencing equipment and meeting room technology.
- Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff or external vendors as appropriate.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure IT environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or technical certification preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in IT support, help desk, or desktop support roles.
- Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency supporting Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
- Hands-on experience with PC and laptop hardware (assembly, upgrades, repairs).
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi).
- Experience with structured cabling and physical network troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems (Zendesk, Freshdesk, ServiceNow, or similar).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to lift and move equipment (up to 50 lbs).
- Reliable transportation and ability to work on-site daily.
Preferred Qualifications
- CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar certifications.
- Experience with Active Directory and basic user account management.
- Familiarity with VoIP phone systems.
- Knowledge of basic server administration (Windows Server).
- Experience with antivirus and endpoint security tools.
- Exposure to cloud services (Microsoft Azure, AWS basics).
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
- Previous experience in logistics, transportation, or warehouse environments.
