Work in Progress) transforms unconventional spaces into open, process-driven studios where artists create in real time before the public. For our upcoming edition, we are seeking a locally-based intern to manage social media, PR coordination, and digital content across pre-fair and live event phases.

Nōvo Collective ) is an artist-run collective that incubates new ways of engaging the public with contemporary art. By pairing rigorous research with experimental production models, the Collective supports artists, curators, and urbanists in realising work that rethinks how audiences encounter art in everyday space. Work in Progress is one of several flagship initiatives under Novo Collective's umbrella. See also latest art projects ).

Responsibilities

Social Media & Content

  • Develop and execute social media strategy across Instagram
  • Create engaging content documenting artist process, venue transformations, and behind-the-scenes moments
  • Manage website updates, news announcements, and digital communications
  • Coordinate with artists and team to gather and share compelling visual and written content

PR & Communications

  • Draft press releases, media pitches, and artist/venue announcements
  • Maintain media contact lists and coordinate press inquiries
  • Support outreach to art publications and cultural platforms
  • Document fair coverage and compile press clippings

Candidate profile

  • Based in Mexico City strongly preferred, with required availability to be on-site during Art Week (February 2026)
  • Strong social media fluency and understanding of art world digital culture
  • Design background preferred – comfortable with basic graphic design, layout, or web updates
  • Bilingual Spanish/English is needed
  • Self-starter with strong writing skills and visual sensibility

Terms

  • Duration: November (Immediate start preferred) – March 2026, hours per week.
  • Benefits: Hands-on experience in design, PR, and social media for a live art fair production, behind-the-scenes access to artists and curators
