In this role as Crop Coordinator, based in Mexico, you will coordinate crop activities of breeding programs focused on Latin American countries and manage the crop portfolio in line with Rijk Zwaan's commercial strategy.

Your Job at Rijk Zwaan
As Crop Coordinator Latin-America, with focus on Mexico, Brazil, Chile and Argentina, you fulfill an essential role in managing crop activities and collaborating with regional and international Breeders, Product and Supply specialists. You lead the development of portfolios and strategies for key markets in close cooperation with the local Crop Specialists and identify new market opportunities.

Additionally, you are responsible for:

  • Coordinating regional commercial introductions, trial plans, and optimizing sales of new and existing varieties.
  • Advising the Strategic Crop Team on current activities and future strategies, supporting Supply specialists.
  • Keeping market information up to date and developing business cases for new markets.
  • Identifying opportunities for product development activities and managing strategic tomato clients, participating in client teams, and negotiating deals

Your Contribution
As Crop Coordinator, you will be a "knowledge center" on the crop, crop organization and varieties within Rijk Zwaan. Therefore, strong affinity with plants and horticulture is necessary. You possess excellent analytical and organizational skills. You take the initiative easily and have strong project management skills. You have a commercial and client-focused approach. You are a team player with persuasive communication skills. You are based in Mexico and you enjoy travelling.

In addition we can find in your cv the following:

  • A completed master's degree in agriculture or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience in international agriculture/horticulture.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish languages.
