International Alliance Group (IAG) connects qualified international educators with public schools across the United States through the
BridgeUSA J-1 Teacher Exchange Program
. Since 2017, IAG has supported cultural exchange by facilitating temporary teaching placements that enrich U.S. classrooms with global perspectives and diverse educational practices.

Through this U.S. Department of State–designated exchange program, IAG provides structured support to both educators and host schools, promoting cross-cultural understanding, professional development, and inclusive educational environments in high-need areas such as Special Education, Math, and Science.

Role Description

This opportunity is for
Special Education Teachers participating as Exchange Visitors (J-1)
in U.S. public schools through a cultural exchange program.

Participants engage in a
temporary teaching experience
that promotes cross-cultural learning, professional growth, and collaboration within inclusive educational environments. Exchange Teachers support students with diverse learning needs while sharing international perspectives and educational practices.

  • Teaching placements are determined based on
    host school needs, program requirements, and candidate qualifications
    , and may vary by location, grade level, and classroom setting.

Qualifications


• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or Education with SPED focus


• Minimum 2 years of full-time teaching experience OR recent graduate (within 12 months)


• Advanced English proficiency


• Interest in cultural exchange and international teaching experience


• Must meet all J-1 Teacher Exchange Program eligibility requirements
