The Role

We're seeking a Senior Bankruptcy Paralegal to manage case files, support our attorneys, and serve as a key point of contact for clients navigating the bankruptcy process. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who wants to make a meaningful impact at a growing firm where your work truly matters.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and file Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy petitions, schedules, and related documents
  • Gather and organize financial documents from clients including tax returns, pay stubs, bank statements, and debt information
  • Conduct intake interviews and assist clients with required credit counseling and debtor education courses
  • Communicate with clients, trustees, creditors, and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court
  • Monitor case deadlines, court dates, and filing requirements
  • Prepare reaffirmation agreements, motions, and amendments as needed
  • Maintain case files in case management software and ensure accurate record-keeping
  • Assist with 341 Meeting of Creditors preparation

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of bankruptcy paralegal experience (consumer bankruptcy preferred)
  • Strong working knowledge of Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 procedures and the U.S. Bankruptcy Code
  • Experience with bankruptcy software (Best Case, Bankruptcy Pro, or similar)
  • Familiarity with federal court e-filing (CM/ECF)
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion and empathy
  • Self-starter who thrives in a small-firm environment
