Objective of the position:

 The ITC-MX Trade Systems & Fiscal Deposit Lead is responsible for the trade compliant performance of the Global Trade Management (GTM) IT software solutions under which the international trade operations for all Daimler's Mexican business entities are performed, ensuring the correct interaction and processing between Daimler ERP IT systems data and software solutions. The TSML is also responsible of the compliant and accurate processing of the Month-end Closure, Duty Payment and extractions from the Fiscal Deposit, in coordination with the ITC-MX Fiscal Deposit Control Specialist while ensuring the establishment and maintenance of control points of Fiscal Deposit Processes, as well as for the management and compliance with Fiscal Deposit Valuation and ensuring the correct flow of Electronic Payment of duties with Treasury.

The Trade Systems & Fiscal Deposit Lead is also responsible for ensuring the correct inventory monitoring of Fiscal Deposit balances to assure and lead the compliance of processes required for Fiscal Deposit regime and special certifications.

Indispensable Requirements (Candidates who do not meet these requirements may be discarded):

• Minimum three years' experience in international trade and customs laws in a large Certified Public Accountant or law firm, Mexico Customs, Customs Brokerage firm, or large multi-national business. Minimum two years' experience working with Global Trade Management / Customs software solutions as Subject Matter Expert
• Global Trade Management Solutions.
• Advanced Database management skills (MS Access / Excel)
• Automotive Fiscal Deposit regime.
• International Customs Trade Law framework

Main Functions:

• Awareness of Mexican and International Trade Compliance system to detect, along with the ITC-MX Regulation & Control Lead, applicable modifications and implement system changes as required and support Change Requests (legal changes or enhancements) as primary contact within the Mexican entities and link between developers and the business.
• Manage SLA with service providers, ensuring its adherence to applicable domestic and international trade law. Ensure transparent management of service and support provided by systems suppliers, in the framework of existing contracts.
• Support process development from the business perspective, creation of blueprints where applicable, collaborate in system design from a compliance standpoint and perform testing for new developments, ensuring the engagement of end-users and business key persons, providing training & support when requested regarding Daimler GTM & ERP functioning.
• Work along with ITC-MX Fiscal Deposit Control Specialist to assure the Month-end process closure / correct & timely execution. Fiscal Deposit inventory balance control for VAT Certification maintenance and follow up to the analysis of any issue identified that might be impacting Fiscal Deposit control accuracy and look for potential and sustainable solutions
• Follow-up and track advance on open issues to ensure adequate service performance and continuous improvement. Measure system and service provider performance against control points and standards established. Request or support to obtain the necessary ERPs´ data to ensure daily operations continuity whenever not automatically available in the GTM, following up for a definitive solution.
