**Primary Function (Scope)**:
This position is responsible for ensuring that raw material and finished good products are delivered on time, in good condition, and in a cost-effective manner

**Essential Functions**:

- Design and develop manufacturing processes for enhancements, product changes, new products, and related fixtures and tooling that are consistent with zero defect level and low product cost.
- Manage new product introduction activities related to manufacturing, evaluating and developing new tooling required for products that are in development within project schedules and budgets.
- Provide process engineering support for all released products at the component, sub-assembly and final assembly levels.
- Recommend and implement new processes, methods, and technology for fabrication and assembly of products.
- Provide technical support for production personnel in all phases of the manufacturing process and develop, coordinate, and implement technical training for employees.
- Establishing assembly routings and labor standard times for new and existing products to perform shop floor capacity planning analysis.
- Estimate labor requirements, production times, and relative costs to provide data for operational decisions.
- Generates accurate engineering documentation (Routings, BOMs, Work Instructions, Visual Aids, shop drawings, etc.) to support the manufacturing process and changes to the products and product specifications. Maintains product and process database (Routings) in SAP.
- Validate product design issues related to manufacturability and changes via ECNs.
- Provides manufacturing engineering information for quoting process, part activation and various requests.
- Design/evaluate/order workstations and equipment keeping safety/ergonomics in mind.
- Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Participates in corrective actions for quality concerns/complaints and be able to develop temporary and permanent solutions to manufacturing issues. Performs failure analysis and troubleshooting of defective product coming from production or customers.
- Works with manufacturing and quality engineering to define, modify and edit control plan to insure product quality and long-term stability in the manufacturing process.
- Supports maintenance technicians in trouble shooting equipment issues.
- Work directly with production and supply chain team to isolate and resolve quality issues with existing products, processes and procedures.
- Reviews 2D and 3D engineering drawings and designs to enable manufacturability and support quality processes in ISO 9001 environment.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 8 years Manufacturing or Process Engineering experience in a metal fabrication or assembly intensive business, including high mix/low to high volume component manufacturing.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as sheet metal fabrication and/or stamping, mechanical assembly and welding.
- Project management experience preferred.
- Good communication skills to interact at all levels within the Organization and Customer.
- Familiarized with product regulatory requirements such as RoHS, REACH, etc. preferable
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and/or 14001
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and / or similar software, SolidWorks and Microsoft Office required. ERP experience a plus.
- Bilingual Spanish/English (95% or higher proficiency written and spoken)
- Strong process development background with SPC/6-Sigma/TQM or similar system.
- Proficiency in Problem Solving Methodologies and Statistical Quality techniques including: SPC, PFMEA, PPAP, 8-D, APQP, MSA and CPK Analysis
