**Harness Design Engineer**

**Qualifications**:

- Harness knowledge
- HV knowledge
- Automotive/ Commercial vehicle background
- Customer drawings/electrical diagram interpretation
- Internal drawing creation based on Customer Drawing/customer needs/ Technical requirements
- On-site support background (concept review, reworks, quality inspection)
- To obtain and understand customer needs and technical requirements,
- Ability to work within cross functional groups as needed
- Professional verbal and written communication skills

**Responsibilities**:

- Harness inspection against drawing
- Harness rework:

- Terminal change/manual tool crimping
- Splices (add, modify)
- Taping: spiral tape-full tape, spot tape, junction tape, end tape
- Connector add/change
- Backshells add/change
- Conduit add/change
- Clips, clamps, tie straps add/change

Software Tools
- CAD systems
- Capital Harness preferred
- LDorado knowledge a plus
- Microsoft products suite

Soft skills:

- Professional verbal and written communication skills : English - Spanish
- Escalation
- Time management
- Travel to inter-company locations as necessary for orientation, training, as needed
- Professional, honest, and ethical conduct is expected at all times
- Develop strong, sincere relationships with internal and external customers
- Maintain clear and consistent communications with internal and external customers
- Develop and Propose innovative concepts to customers internal and external
