We are seeking a skilled **Lead Automation Test Engineer** to lead the development and implementation of test automation strategies and tools.
As the team's sole AQA, you will play a pivotal role in assuring the quality of both UI and API features, utilizing Java and advanced automation frameworks. Success in this position depends on strong technical knowledge, exceptional analytical capabilities, and a drive for building effective test solutions.
**Responsibilities**
- Define functional, integration, and acceptance test cases
- Establish automation plans in alignment with testing standards
- Incorporate automated test cycles into CI/CD pipelines
- Identify and resolve system issues promptly
- Automate backend test processes for REST APIs
- Report and document defects comprehensively
- Coordinate test data handling and environment management
- Control and optimize test script versioning
- Support mainframe automation efforts when applicable
**Requirements**:
- 5+ years of experience in test automation within Quality Assurance or hybrid testing roles
- 1+ years of experience in leading similar roles
- Skills in automation scripting using Java, Selenium, and Rest Assured
- Proficiency with Git, Jenkins, and CI tools
- Understanding of functional, integration, and regression testing practices
- Familiarity with REST and SOAP API automation
- Proficiency in SQL and test data simulation techniques
- Background in agile testing practices
- Experience integrating testing frameworks into CI/CD pipelines
- Competency in mainframe automation and system debugging
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication and client-interaction skills
- English proficiency at B2 level or above
**Nice to have**
- Familiarity with Cucumber, Playwright, and Azure
- Capability to demonstrate mainframe automation skills
