Job Summary

Job summary:

- To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a _Compliance Counsel-Americas _located in _Guadalajara, North Campus_._
- Reporting to the VP, Corporate Compliance, Compliance Counsel-America’s role involves_ _leading ethics investigations in the region. We expect this team member to work collaboratively with regional legal and business partners to provide compliance guidance companywide, including to Flex’s corporate and site executive leadership team._

What a typical day looks like:

- _
Be an active contributor to the global compliance team in developing and supporting programs, training, and regular communications with senior executives_
- _
Provide substantive management of matrixed teams investigating allegations of violations of Flex’s code of conduct and other corporate policies_
- _
Exercise ownership of investigation findings and reports_
- _
Communicate with senior executives on investigation results and advise on disciplinary actions and remediation_
- _
Maintain expertise in regulatory compliance matters, with an emphasis on optimal compliance program management to mitigate risk_
- _
Manage implementation of the global corporate compliance program in the region, including partnering with corporate headquarters and business clients on effective policies, training, and communication_
- _
Apprise company executives at regional and global level of legal and risk management issues and propose appropriate strategies for addressing them_
- _
Develop strategies and ensure adequate implementation to respond to audits, subpoenas, and ethics investigations_
- _
Manage internal client relationships and assist in the resolution of competing interests amongst stakeholders_

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

- _
Experience as Compliance Counsel or similar position_
- _
BA/BS/MBA or equivalent work experience_
- _
Law degree from a reputable law school and Bar certification in the appropriate jurisdiction_
- _
Expertise in areas of investigations and compliance or litigation_
- _
Experience with anticorruption laws_
- _
Ability to interact with business clients at various levels of management_
- _
Self-motivated, team player with proven ability to identify legal issues, manage priorities in a fast-paced environment_
- _
Fluent (written and spoken) English_
- _
Willing to travel_
- _
Foreign qualifications are a plus_
- _
A combination of work experience in both a major law firm and a large multinational legal department is preferred_
