Role Purpose: Secures purchasing activities for an assigned area and within a given framework, using selected suppliers to ensure product supply and profitability. Has an overall responsibility to ensure that suppliers deliver according to price, delivery time & service level.

.Purchasing:

- Purchase parts/items of expertise area at the right quality, characteristics and volume.
- Review bid evaluation and negotiation.
- Review / release of purchase order and ensure the receipt of order acknowledgement.
- Feasibility study of engineering changes and amend PO as required.
- Cost tracking and savings.
- Maintain track record of supplier performance.
- Work with Sourcing/Category Management for new supplier development.
- Optimize inventory levels based on customer demand and forecast.
- Supplier payment approval through SIMS by collaborating with finance.

Interface with Internal stake holders:

- Collaborate with order execution, expediting, quality and logistics to improve SIFOT and DIFOT.
- Prepare cost estimation based on analysis of past pricing trends as basis for price setting and for planning and prioritizing of orders.
- Participate in kick of meeting along with Sales, execution Manager/expeditor and quality and logistics.
- Coordinate with quality team for Inspection Test Plan( ITP).
- Attend regular meetings with Sales / Execution manager to review order status.
- Collaborate with finance and resolve payment.

Supplier Management:

- Work with supplier for continuous improvements for long term relationship.
- Monitor operational performance of selected suppliers in order to ensure that FLS capacity to deliver stable and long term.
- Reactivation of inactive suppliers by performing all steps necessary to complete these tasks on a timely manner on need basis and update latest supplier info in MDM.
