**About the Role**:
**Grade Level (for internal use)**: 09
**The Team**:
Commodity Insights seeks a reporter to cover battery metals in Latin America. This reporter will be responsible for covering business and political developments in important mining areas, including Mexico, Chile, and Argentina. Commodity Insights is seeking a reporter who will be based in Mexico City and who is fluent in both Spanish and English to deliver English-language news and insights to our finance and commodity business readership. There will be developmental opportunities associated with being a member of a strong news team.
**Responsibilities and Impact**:
Writes spot and in-depth news and analysis pieces in English on key developments in South and Central American metals markets
Serves as the Commodity Insights News go-to person Latin American news as it pertains to metals and mining.
Analyzes pricing and production data for news and insights
Works with Commodity Insights Market Reporters and Analytics team to enhance stories with proprietary data.
Liaises with production team to produce graphics to enhance news and analysis pieces.
Attends conferences and company meetings to learn about important issues.
**What We’re Looking For**:
**Basic Required Qualifications**:
Bachelor’s degree required. Preference for journalism, policy, economics, business
3+ years writing about government, metals or commodities markets.
Analytical skills with proficiency in Excel
