As an Associate Data Scientist supporting the commercial team, you will be trusted to work on vast amounts of use cases that require predictive and prescriptive data science skills. This role will provide support to our Data Science workstream by building model-ready datasets, predictive/prescriptive ML models, and providing high-quality interpretations of model outputs to each of our business units.

IN THIS ROLE A TYPICAL DAY WILL INCLUDE:

- Build ML and AI models that provide predictive and prescriptive recommendations to the business.
- Interpret models on behalf of the business to provide actionable insights.
- Aid in presentation of key findings of projects to core stakeholders.
- Maintain and update deployed models as needed.
- Thoroughly analyze and comprehend business use cases to extract comprehensive insights and requirements.
- Ability to write intermediate to advanced SQL queries - Must have.
- Ability to engineer optimal datasets to power ML Models.
- Ability to build meaningful ML/AI models for business use.
- Ability to extract complex meaningful insights and interpret them to business stakeholders.
- Strong Python coding experience.
- High learning agility.
- Detail oriented and organized.
- 75% overlap with CST time zone working hours.
- Strong collaboration experience and willingness to work with multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to create visualizations that communicate insights within complex data.
- Experience with the following Atlassian Tools: Jira & Confluence.
- Experience of Agile development practices.
- Beginner to intermediate level experience with Alteryx - Desirable.
- Ability to stay up to date with recent trends within the field in areas relating to Gen AI/Advanced ML/etc.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:

- Education: Bachelor’s degree (Data Science, Computer Science, Economics, Business Analytics, etc.).
- Advanced level of English.
- 1-2 years of experience related or internship experience.
