The Role
In this position you will design, develop and improve technical documentation for AspenTech’s OSI products and technologies. Specific, on-the-job training will be provided.
Your Impact
- Research, write and edit documentation such as configuration guides, user’s guides and other related technical materials.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of products to efficiently manage and deliver complex software documentation that meets the needs of the target audience.
- Utilize ticket tracking system to ensure tasks stay on track and deadlines are met.
What You'll Need
- Bachelor's degree in Technical/Professional Writing, English, Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical field
- 2+ years of experience in developing software or technical documentation
- Thorough understanding of how to translate complex information into concise, easy-to-follow instructions
- Comfortable working at both the high level and detail level; must be result, process and quality oriented
- Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple priorities, remaining flexible and effective in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent writing, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
- Exposure to documentation authoring software (like MadCap Flare)
- Knowledge of HTML and web publishing
- Understanding of Agile methodology
- Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira and Jama
