**About the opportunity**

As Sr. Oracle/Banner DBA for Managed Services at Ellucian, you will be key contributor to planning, analysis, coordination, support and maintenance of our ERP systems Ellucian Banner and all components of the ecosystem of technologies such as: Banner 9, ESM, ODS, Workflow, UC4, Touchnet, and eTranscripts. Activities include:

- install, configure, and maintain Oracle-based technologies and any required technologies in support of Banner and its components
- ensuring customer satisfaction through active engagement
**Where you will make an impact**
- Proactively monitor and optimize system performance using tuning, optimization, AWR, ASH, and other methods.
- Technical adviser to provide detailed planning information to project coordinators to assist in planning of service requests, implementation steps, corrective actions, upgrade recommendations and optimization steps for Oracle and Ellucian technologies and products.
- Scripts and/or automates common repeatable tasks across the spectrum of supported products and technologies.
- All members of the team are expected to participate in our on-call process (24/7 production support).
- Interacts with the customer and other consultants to translate business requirements into functional specifications for conversions, reporting, interfaces and customizations.
- Monitors, tracks, and reports project risks, issues, milestones and work completed, as well as work that is underway. Provides leadership for the customer enabling them to stay on time and on task.
Provides customer high-quality business process, change management and other appropriate documentation.
- Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills and self-starter attitude.

**What you will bring**
- Hands-on experience with Oracle products:

- RDBMS 11g, 12c, or 19c Administration
- SQL & PL/SQL
- Recovery Manager (RMAN)
- Enterprise Manager (OEM)
- Fusion Middleware (Optional)
- Forms & Reports (Optional)
- Weblogic (Optional)
- Oracle Real Application Cluster (RAC)
- Experience or knowledge of the following:

- RabbitMQ and ActiveMQ
- Apache & Tomcat administration
- Shell scripting
- Ability to work effectively with end-users and teammates, to gain their confidence, to understand their technical and operational needs and translate them into viable technical solutions
- Work independently and multitask, prioritize tasks, and execute without constant supervision
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
- Workflow automation of common repeatable Oracle & RHEL tasks
- Knowledge Management
- Global capability/compliance
- Multi-lingual Spanish-English or Portuguese-English or Spanish-Portuguese-English
- Desired Ellucian Product Experience:

- Ellucian Banner ERP product: Banner 8 Administration & Banner 9 Administration
- Banner Enterprise Identity Services (BEIS)
- Single Sign-on Configuration/Support (SSO) including CAS and SAML2 protocols
- Operational Data Store (ODS)
- Ellucian Solution Manager (ESM)
- Payment solution (ie. TouchNet or similar)
- Desired Experience and Knowledge:

- Oracle Certifications - OCP, OCA
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) Certifications
- DataGuard, Golden Gate
