**Packing Technical Supervisor - Overseas**

Are you a packaging machine expert with a passion for the pet food industry? Look no further We are a leading pet food manufacturing company in New Zealand, and we are seeking a skilled Technical Supervisor to join our team. As the Technical Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring that our packaging machines are running at peak performance. You will be in charge of operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing our state-of-the-art equipment. Additionally, you will train and mentor our packaging operators to ensure they are operating the machines safely and efficiently.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Constant monitoring of Packout yields, run rates, product quality and waste to ensure best possible performance.
- Able to troubleshoot packing equipment problems efficiently/effectively.
- Ensures packaging is available for packing lines and meet specification.
- Ensures all activities are carried out safely by team and meet the minimum requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 in accordance with the Company Health and Safety Policies, Procedures and Manual.
- All possible endeavors are taken to eliminate, isolate and minimize safety hazards and risks in each department
- All accidents/ near misses and hazards are quickly and accurately reported.
- Willing to undertake any training that is required to meet the requirements and scope of the position or to further career opportunities.
- Opportunities provided will be ‘taken up’ to enable expansion of knowledge and skills and keeping up to date in order to perform the role effectively.
- Compliance with all Company policies and procedures.
- Complete any other reasonable duties as requested by the by the employer and take initiative in promoting business outcomes.

**Job Requirements**:

- A minimum of 5 years of experience in packaging machine maintenance, repair, and operation (multi-head weighed, form fill and seal bundling equipment and palletization).
- Experience working in a food manufacturing environment (preferably pet food).
- Experience in troubleshooting of automated packing equipment.
- Knowledgeable in food safety, SAP and MRP system.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Forklift license.
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Excellent inventory management and record.
- Keeping skills with high level of numeracy and literacy.

- Work hours/schedule**:Normal working hours is 40 hours per week (with guaranteed minimum 30 hours work per week). Required to work shifts between the hours of 7.00am to 3.30pm, 3.00pm to 11.30pm and 11.00pm to 7.30am; five days per week (rostered).
