We are looking for a Construction Project Engineer for projects in the Queretaro/Bajio region. Someone with at least 5 years post-graduation experience, preferably in the Data Centre - High Tech sector, within the Construction, Architectural and Industrial Engineering areas. Scheduling, Cost and Document Controls experience. You will be self-motivated and agile. You will enjoy working face to face with Clients as a member of a project team, taking on the delivery of parts of a large project.

**Job Description**:
We are looking for a Construction Project Engineer for projects in the Queretaro/Bajio region. Someone with at least 5 years post-graduation experience, preferably in the Data Centre - High Tech sector, within the Construction, Architectural and Industrial Engineering areas. Scheduling, Cost and Document Controls experience.

You will be self-motivated and agile. You will enjoy working face to face with Clients as a member of a project team, taking on the delivery of parts of a large project.

Project Engineer works with the general contractor engineering team to ensure:
1) construction details are confirmed and that they work

2) contiguous trades are coordinated

3) materials are reviewed, approved, fabricated, and delivered to the site when they are required on the job

4) safety risks do not exist during work tasks that could impact people and the project

5) job quality stays within requirements

The process, managed by the project engineer, is to help simplify the work in the field and maintain the overall schedule.

Project Engineer works with project cost management team to help Project Manager and PM manage and control all cost-related issues encountered during the construction phase.

Project Engineer works directly for the consultant construction manager
- Conduct preliminary surveys of the site of construction
- Ensure all formalities such as permits and clearances are obtained from respective government agencies
- Ensure that the GC keeps project documentation in order and within the appropriate repository
- Plan and design important construction details
- Take part in the project planning plan and provide inputs regarding implementation
- Ensure that construction activity progresses as per schedule
- Provide report to the DCD PM and consultant construction manager regularly with updates on the construction work
- Communicate with construction coordinators to ensure that all work force and equipment required are in order
- Communicate with subcontractors and ensure that the project progresses as per schedule
- Keep in touch with designers, architects, and suppliers to ensure that construction is going on as per schedule and within client's quality requirements

**Qualifications**:
**Education/Experience**:

- Bachelor´s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architectural or related
- Experience in construction and commissioning standards and practices
- Ability to effectively communicate complex technical solutions and concepts to engineers
- Ability to interpret line drawings and specifications, as well as quality of materials
- Minimum of 5 years professional experience
- High degree of accuracy and local market cost knowledge
- Fluent English & Spanish
- Member of a professional institute preferred eg. PMI
- Knowledge of the development of high and medium tension substations, as per regulatory entity (CFE), and knowledge of data Centres main elements, as Chillers and Long Lead items
- Experience in managing data centre infrastructure deployments.
- Data Centre Certification process knowledge preferable.
- Experience with regional construction markets, culture and practices. Experience with various project management tools and practices in Mexico.
- Experience managing vendor relationships and understanding of standard practices in the design and construction industry, including knowledge of fast-track design & build processes and associated documents and contracts.
- Demonstrated skills in requirements gathering, resource organization, task prioritization and scheduling.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Project and Primavera P6
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, BIM
