Position Overview
We are looking for a hands-on Technical Project Manager to manage project lifecycle from initiation through delivery for the Revenue Data Science Product Management team. This role will project manage all phases of the project including status reporting, team coordination, and troubleshooting to ensure assigned projects are delivered on-schedule, in-scope and within budget. This role will also serve as the scrum master that enables the Data Science organization and the BI engineering organization to work as one unit. You should be an excellent communicator and comfortable managing multiple tasks and priorities.
**Responsibilities**:
- Facilitate meetings (e.g., core team, monthly check-ins, daily stand-up, backlog grooming, sprint planning, release planning, and sprint retrospectives) for the Sales Data Science and the Product Management organization- Collaborate with Product Managers and adapt process as required to maximize team’s success- Ensure Scrum process is followed, documentation is up to date and project status can be reported at any time- Ensure change management is at the forefront of every initiative. Collaborate with the Enablement Manager on enablement tasks- Assist Insight Analysts, Data Scientists, and Product Manager in preparing regular communication to stakeholders- Coach the team in the use of agile techniques to match team capacity to commitments- Monitor project activities to ensure completion within defined schedule, budget, and quality parameters- Monitor and respond in multiple Slack channels. Bring in assistance where needed whilst shielding the team from distractions- Measure the impact and usage of analytical tools
Minimum Qualifications- Exposure to Agile methodologies and processes- Hands
- on experience of using Project Management tools in delivering projects- Understanding of the tenets of Change Management- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office- At least 3+years’ experience in a technology and/or operations environment- You have a strong sense of ownership and willingness to roll-up your sleeves, handling multiple projects with ease
Preferred Qualifications- Experience working in agile development environments- Experience using Jira and Confluence for project management delivery- Experience with an environment involving Data Science, Analytics and BI development- Strong organizational and process management skills and attention to detail- Assertive and results-oriented with the ability to translate strategic goals into programs and execution- A proven change champion with 3-5 years of applicable project/program management experience (creation of plans, managing budgets, schedules, allocating resources, etc.)- PMP, Scrum, or Agile certificationHow You’d Spend Your Day to Day- Assist team members in planning, estimating, and controlling tasks: Guide teams into successful completion of sprints. You will also work with product owners and product managers to facilitate conversations within and outside of the sprint teams- Manage project core team: You will be responsible for the agendas, presentation, and overall coordination of core teams to enable successful delivery of products and projects.- Develop and maintain project plan and schedules: Perform critical path analysis and develop action plans to mitigate risk. Work with the Project Management team to identify risk and define mitigations to implement alternative solutions- Stakeholder management and communication: Coordinate a variety of communications in support of the objectives. Prepare and distribute various reports and updates on the status to various audiences, including executive management- Internal Evangelism: You are the chief internal evangelist for your analytical platforms. Do users know they are there? How to access, how they can improve their daily lives?- A strong, clear communicator and presenter, comfortable with large audiences of all levels- Team organizer, builder, and motivator with exceptional influencing skills who can exercise judgment related to prioritization and risk management- Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple projects concurrently while meeting aggressive deadlines in a fast-paced environment- Very strong customer orientation- Comfortable with training users of all levels- A team player who works well with others and individually- Ability to influence others and drive decisions to closure- Thrives in a dynamic, changing environment- Can manage multiple projects simultaneously- Demonstrates leadership, initiative and is highly self-driven- Strong aptitude with analytics, systems- Either you have experience with BI projects and data product delivery, or you want to become more data savvy
