**This position reports to**:
R&D Department Lead

**Your role and responsibilities**:
In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to ABB’s success with technology, software, product, and system development. Each day, you will identify and implement innovative solutions to relevant problems. You will also showcase your expertise by providing ideas and by being able to work both independently and as a part of a Research & Development (R&D) team. The work model for the role is: #LI-Hybrid This role is contributing to the Electrification Distribution Solutions division in San Luis Potosi. You will be mainly accountable for: - Support the NAM Business line products execution of LCAs and relevant environmental product declarations. - Make sure the certifications of the environmental declarations are executed in accordance with standards and legislations. - Align processes/guidelines and practices with the common approach followed by the entire ELDS product lines. - Actively monitoring sustainability and environmental legislation and supports the necessary trainings to the local sustainability teams. - Manages and expands relationships with other R&D teams in Technology Centers or Corporate Research Centers, stakeholders, internal functions and external relevant parties (e.g. customers, academia). - Effectively communicates appropriate information to stakeholders in a timely manner and to achieve desired understanding and support. - Uses input from others and provides support to colleagues or other functional teams on technical, quality and project management.

**Qualifications for the role**:

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electromechanical or mechatronics, energy engineering)
- 2 years Experience in product design and 1 year experience product sustainability (electrical power systems experience preferred) | Solidworks, CAD and PLM Proficiency
- Knowledge and understanding of UL, ANSI, and IEEE standards (preferred)
- Advanced English is a must
- Ability to travel 6 months to USA for training (Active USA VISA and Passport required)
