This Position reports to:
R&D Team Lead
**Your role and responsibilities**
In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to ABB’s success with technology, software, product, and system development. Each day, you will identify and implement innovative solutions to relevant problems. You will also showcase your expertise by providing ideas and by being able to work both independently and as a part of a Research & Development (R&D) team.
The work model for the role is: #LI-Onsite
This role is contributing to the Electrification Distribution Solutions R&D area in San Luis Potosi.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Working as contributor in R&D projects developing mechanical/electrical design for electrical products
- Contributing with innovative and creative ideas to R&D activities
- Improving product quality and participating in relevant product and process improvement programs Writing well-structured and concise technical reports and providing consulting services to business operations and customers
**Qualifications for the role**
- Bachelors degree in Engineering - Mechanical, Electrical, Electro
- mechanical, Mechatronics or Robotics.
- Experience 2+ years in 3D Mechanical design
- Knowledge of 3d design software as Creo or Solidworks (sheet metal module preferred)
- PLM experience preferred
- Advanced English
- Experience in electrical MV products preferred
