Global Data and Analytics Director

In this role **you will lead the team that is accountable for all Data and Analytics that help IT manage and lead IT across all AZ globally**. You will have **full autonomy to steer strategic** and day to day decisions across IT at the IT leadership and CIO level through to the technician level. **ABOUT THE **ENTERPRISE TECHNOLOGY SERVICES** TEAM**

The Enterprise Technology Services (ETS) team is accountable for all Infrastructure, Security, IT Operations and all End User Services and technologies. **THIS IS WHAT YOU’LL DO**

The Ops Enablement function within the Workplace & Enterprise Services function is accountable for;
- The AZ Observability strategy, delivering Enterprise Management, Monitoring & Security Tooling and the definition and execution of an AIOps capability unlocking significant business benefit through a transformation in how Infrastructure Platforms and the Applications that are run on them are maintained.
- The core ServiceNow Platform, supporting a federated development model and unlocking significant value to the broader organization
- Building and running a capability to enable colleagues to exploit our services focused on driving business value beyond availability and currency, supporting the Business aligned Technology Groups (BTG) groups through the creation of Centers for Enablement

The Data and Analytics Lead is:

- **
Ownership and accountability for defining actionable insights **that underpins our AIOps strategy to eradicate user and service interruption
- **
Leads the provision of data understanding** (structure, provenance, quality) to Architects, Data Engineers and Data Scientists to support use in Analytics projects.
- **
Leads the supports IT and business data teams** in identifying and managing Critical Data Assets and Elements including Reference, Master and Metadata.
- **
Collaborates with Risk, Assurance, Privacy and Information Security** to ensure data and information controls are in place and adhered to.
- **
Clearly and objectively communicate insights and results**, as well as their associated uncertainties and limitations
- **
Manages and provides guidance to Data Analysts** - setting of work, supervision of task completion, trouble
- shooting challenges, coaching skills and behaviour development and contributing to performance evaluation reports
- **
Manages the quality of work** produced by more junior Data Analysts under supervision.

Provision of training and skill development** in Data Analysis across community: training materials, FAQs, Playbooks as well leading community forums supporting capability development.

Personal development and training** in Data Analysis discipline leadership

Be a key member of the Workplace and Enterprise Services - Ops Enablement Leadership Team** to ensure that the team continues to develop and grow and that strategies are aligned and executed effectively.

**YOU WILL NEED TO HAVE**
**Education, Qualifications and Experience**
**Essential**
- Significant years’ experience in a data analyst or business role aligned to data and information management with practical examples of performing data analysis in terms of defining requirements, gleaning critical data elements, defining data quality criteria and checkpoints
- Domain data understanding: the structure, provenance and meaning of the source data crucial to the domain (eg. SAP for Finance, SDTM for Clinical). Understanding of the business processes in the generation and consumption of data
- Leading others in the delivery of data analysis activities, ideally line management team leadership
**Desirable**
- Experience working in the Biopharmaceutical/Life Sciences industry
- SDLC, Agile & Scrum methodologies
- Managing large global teams
