**Descripción y detalle de las actividades**
- Enforces safety policies and procedures (both in-house and regulatory) to decrease the potential for employee injuries on thejob.Conducts and reports safety incidents investigation and sets countermeasures to avoid incident reoccurrence.Creates and oversees an employee training schedule thatemphasizes, quality, productivity and employee retention.Maintains open lines of communication between employeesand management.Promotes and maintains interdepartmental harmony as well aswithin owned department.Determines methods and priorities for receiving raw materialsand MRO’s as well as preparing final shipments in accordanceto planning.In conjunction with shelter import/export department monitorsand follows up southbound/northbound logistics.Ensures receiving and shipping transactions are performedproperly and in time.Ensures a proof of delivery for any incoming and outgoingshipment.Files claims to carriers for damaged shipments and follow up toconclusion.Reports receiving inventory discrepancies to Purchasingdepartment and requests suppliers countermeasures to avoidreoccurrences.In conjunction with Warehouse Supervisor develops anddeploys tools to track On Hand inventory and pull ins from3PL’s.Determines routing and legal load limits of trucks, according toestablished schedules and weight limits in accordance tolegislations.Inspects loading operations to ensure compliance with shippingspecifications, and seals loaded boxcars and truck doors.Seeks ways to minimize waste thru LEAN and continuousimprovement Techniques.In conjunction with engineering department develops andmaintains SOP’s (standard operating procedures) for each areaof responsibility.Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs;evaluating new equipment and techniques and submits toengineering for proper deployment.Identifies and submits to engineering department ProductivityProjects for proper follow up.

**Experiência y requisitos**
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business admin, planning, master scheduling, materials management or related field. 3+ years of proven work experience in warehouse supervision or materials management. Planning and import/export experience is a plus. Adequate knowledge of organizational effectiveness and planning. Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization. LEAN & APICS experience and/or training. Familiarity with business and financial principles and practices. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. Coaching and mentoring skills.
