London is the headquarters of Glencore’s energy business which includes Glencore Energy UK the trading of various products including oil, gas, power and carbon. Glencore sources crude oil and oil products from a range of suppliers - through our marketing offices in London, New York, Houston and Singapore.

The Glencore Risk Department is an independent function aiming to control front-line trading. The Risk Department ensures that the risk-reward of the trading books is properly understood by Glencore senior management and that the physical exposure of the business - e.g. oil cargoes, electricity generation, gas deliveries - is correctly valued.

**Responsibilities**
- Admin and support related to P&L reporting, attribution, valuation methodologies, position reporting and internal controls
- Maintaining the internal trade capture systems
- Reconciliations of physical and paper trade booking ensuring the internal systems are accurately reflecting all deal details
- Maintain an organized book structure to facilitate management’s understanding of P&L and risk drivers. This includes trade allocations and accurate marking of positions.
- Monitor trading positions in real time
- Assist in project initiatives, process improvement, and IT testing for system enhancements
- Adhere to industry compliance standards and regulations

**Key Skills**
- Fluent in English
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Computer Science or other related field
- High level of attention to detail and data accuracy
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong Excel skills
- Must be able to work effectively in a team
- The ability to explain complex issues and present technical information clearly
- Quantitative/financial acumen, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and in a face paced environment, often with tight deadlines
- Ability to review and analyze large amounts of data
- Knowledge of energy markets, trading, derivative instruments, and programming languages (VBA, Python, R, etc.) are a plus
