We are looking for a general manager for this start up operation, who will drive leadership and execution of all manufacturing operations, ensuring the plant is aligned with overall corporate business objectives, has flexibility and capacity to support customer demand, and effectively balances and leverages fixed cost structure with optimal variable resources. Utilizing effective organizational planning and development leadership to deliver targeted results for engagement, accountability, productivity, continuous improvement, growth and profitability.

1. Analyze operations to evaluate company performance and to determine areas of potential cost reduction, program improvement, or policy change.
2. Direct, plan, and implement policies, objectives, or activities, to maximize returns on investments, and to optimize efficiency.
3. Establish and monitor overall plant performance for production and quality standards.
4. Control and minimize labor overtime, premium freight, and repair expenses.
5. Direct and coordinate activities to fund operations, maximize profits, or increase efficiency.
6. Direct and coordinate budgets and forecasts to provide funding for new or continuing operations, special projects, growth initiatives, thereby maximizing ROI and increased productivity.
7. Maintain existing plant facilities and equipment; replace or adjust plant facilities and equipment when necessary.
8. Provide leadership and training to accomplish the company goals and objectives.
9. Incorporates shop floor organization and plant cleanliness among plant personnel.
10. Direct and coordinate activities concerned with production, pricing, sales, and distribution of products.
11. Negotiate and/or approve contracts or agreements with suppliers, distributors, customers, or other organizational entities.
12. Management responsibility of a successful manufacturing operation.
13. Improve revenues and profitability, motivate, and develop associates.
14. Involvement in the development of the strategic direction and leadership of the Division
15. In-depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities of all the functional areas within the Plant.
16. Deliver operational excellence in all spheres of production and maintain consistent best in class product quality.
17. Use of analytical techniques and models to assist in business decision making
18. Grasp in-depth understanding of the finance/non finance operations in order to improve overall business understanding/results/procedures.
19. Maintains the ISO 9001.2018 accreditation.
20. Strive for continuous improvement.
21. Identify and implement continuous improvements in the areas of scrap and labor efficiency.
22. Review, develop and improve operational business processes and control in line with good internal control and governance principles.
23. Manage innovation as well as new product development projects diligently in line with Divisional objectives.
24. Maintain sound management-employee relationships.
25. Ensure proper people management processes are applied, more specifically ensure development of successors for key positions.
- Requirements:_
- Bachelor´s degree in engineering or related field. MBA is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in a similar position.
- Previous manufacturing and planning experience. Molding experience is a plus.
- Valid visa.
- Continuous Improvement and leadership skills.
