Essential responsibilities and duties_**
- The commodity buyer is responsible for deploying the commodity strategy for its assigned commodities. The role of the Commodity Buyer is to manage relationship / negotiation with suppliers, pilot the utilization of supplier panel in programs and series production during sourcing, and ensure supplier performance._

The main missions of the role are:_**
- _
Structure the panel._
- _ Participate in the definition and the implementation of purchasing panel policy for assigned commodities._
- _ Manage supplier selection of his/her segment/s of the commodity and deploys it within the region._
- _ Manage relationship / negotiation with his/her suppliers supported by the Division / Region Commodity Manager._
- _ Ensure that the strategic panel is implemented in the Development phase (Supplier Nomination Committees)._
- _ Manage and drive productivity action plans._
- _ Fix the rules of productivity sharing between the suppliers and Faurecia._
- _ Manage and drive supplier quality and delivery performance._
- _ Manage insolvencies of suppliers and steer corrective action plan._
- Qualifications_
- _ Minimum Education Level: Bachelor's or master’s degree in Engineering or Business._
- _ Nice to have: Professional Purchasing Qualification._
- Experience:_
- _ Minimum 5 years’ experience in purchasing in an industrial environment (serial life or program)._
- _ Experience of successfully managing and negotiating contracts._
