Overview:
**Responsibilities**:
- Provide leadership to continuously improve a culture of safety and quality.
- P&L responsibility for the Nogales Molding Plant.
- Be a strategic thinker and have a proven track record of operational excellence, including utilization of lean manufacturing techniques and tools.
- Lead the involvement of production, maintenance, quality, engineering, and materials personnel in a team approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
- Work and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve deficient molds in the plant.
- Ensure mold insourcing efforts are successfully implemented.
- Coordinate resources to support New Product Development and Special Projects.
- Have a good working knowledge and help implement world-class injection molding practices.
- Drive the 5S deployment throughout the facility.
- Be a leader and motivator in a productive and collaborative working environment.
- Foster creativity and innovation within the molding team.
- Act as change agent to improve bottom line performance through Lean / 6-Sigma manufacturing techniques including, but not limited to: Managing for Daily Improvement (MDI), adherence to plan, Standard Work, 5S, SMED, Root Cause Analysis, SPC, DOE, Kaizen, etc.
- Execute corporate and strategic plan goals including safety improvement, quality improvement, customer service level achievement, inventory turns, and supply-chain flexibility.
- Lead continuous improvement projects for productivity improvement and cost reduction.
Qualifications:
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations, or business discipline.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership and technical skills.
- At least 10 years of experience in molding operations management, including demonstrated knowledge of Supply Chain Management and Lean Manufacturing.
- History of increasing responsibilities with proven track record of achieving excellent results.
- Previous P&L or budget responsibility.
**DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Experience with plastic injection molding operations and scientific molding
- Extensive knowledge of tools
- Master Molder
- Graduate degree in business or a technical discipline
- Previous experience as Plant Manager or higher role
- Fully bilingual - English and Spanish and experience with manufacturing in Mexico
