People & Culture Manager
- SUMMARY_
The People & Culture Manager will collaborate with all Associate levels within the organization to challenge the status quo and bring the Associate experience to the next level. With a focus on learning and development, this role will partner with and assist the Director of People & Culture on all human resource functions, programs, assignments and property activities as deemed necessary.
- ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS_
Job duties include; although are not limited to:
- Strategically manage the daily operations of the department with a pro-active approach and gracious attitude
- Solving problems, finding the root of concerns, thinking big, being proactive and reactive in creating and implementing solutions
- Implementing, coordinating, and executing training programs such as Know Thyself and 10-Day training
- Attending and participating in line-ups or pre-meal meetings to ensure departments are “perfecting the basics”
- Identifying and driving improvements for the training programs and processes
- Cultivating and executing plans for Associate recognition programs, Associate relations, total rewards benefit programs, performance management and recruitment retention strategies
- Managing Associate relations documentation and conducting investigations in accordance with the Director of People & Culture
- Ensuring the department remains in compliance with federal and state regulations as it relates to employment
- Performing any additional duties as assigned based on current business needs
- QUALIFICATIONS_
- Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree or SPHR/PHR Certification preferred
- Minimum of four (4) years’ of Human Resources experience, three (3) of which were in an HR leadership role
- Previous experience in an upscale hotel preferred
- Fluency in Spanish preferred
- Must have a diverse HR background with experience in employee relations, benefits, compensation, training, compliance, and recruitment
- Exceptional presentation, interpersonal, and writing skills to effectively engage, motivate, and influence audiences
- Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must possess advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS_
Most work tasks are performed indoors. Temperature is moderate and controlled by hotel environmental systems. Must be able to sit at a desk for up to 8 hours a day. Walking and standing are occasionally required. Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis. This position requires manual dexterity, grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability, and visual acuity.
