**Location**: Puerto Morelos, Quintana Roo, Mexico

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related field) or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Industrial or Mechanical Engineer.
- In-depth knowledge of machinery and mechanical engineering principles.
- Proven ability to identify process bottlenecks and implement effective solutions.
- At least 3 years of management experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
- Bilingual: Fluent in English and Spanish.

**Responsibilities**:

- Oversee daily sargassum processing and production as the facility’s floor manager.
- Design and implement process improvements across all operational areas.
- Enhance processing efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure product quality.
- Develop, quote, and test prototypes for process solutions, and manage their installation.
- Monitor and analyze production data to identify opportunities for improvement in costs, yields, and efficiencies.
- Manage and train personnel to operate equipment safely and effectively.
- Report progress, challenges, and recommendations to upper management.
- Maintain production metrics and ensure production goals are consistently achieved.

We harvest excess blooms of sargassum seaweed, a floating brown seaweed that has increasingly plagued the Caribbean due to climate change and agricultural runoff. By upcycling this seaweed, we prevent methane emissions and create innovative biomaterials.
