Operations Senior Manager

Overall Summary of the Job:
Markets & Securities Services (MSS) Operations provides operational support to the Markets & Securities Services trading unit. Products and services offered by the trading unit for its proprietary trading as well as to clients include, but not limited to:

- Fixed Income
- Cash Equity and Equity Derivatives
- Cleared OTC and Exchange Trade Derivatives
- Asset Service
- Arranged Financing and Prime Trading

The role holder will be responsible for the team in Mexico for an orderly day to day operations. In doing so, the role holder ensures the completion of daily tasks in an efficient manner, awareness of the non-financial risks associated with those tasks and is collaborating with the onshore staff and supervisors. The role holder will be the entity manager for the team in Mexico responsible for performance evaluation, work prioritization and coverage and other administrative activities.

Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

- Understanding of the products traded by MSS trading unit and the associated lifecycle events
- All components of corporate action processing from event data scrubbing through cash and stock reconciliation
- Extensive market knowledge of US corporate action events is required, including mandatory events such as redemptions, reverse/forward splits, stock dividends and mergers.
- Strong understanding of processing on DTCC’s platform
- Strong understanding of industry regulations and rules
- Requires previous oversight and people management responsibilities
- Act as liaison with internal/external business partners
- Oversight of cash/stock record reconciliations, ensuring timely and appropriate resolution

Requirements

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

- Computer literacy, knowledge of Excel and Word, detailed oriented, good problem solver, should have good communication skills
- Must have strong overall knowledge of Domestic markets, with emphasis on Equity products.
- Knowledge of US markets, Fixed income and Equity products
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in managing a corporate action team
