The position of Advanced Supplier Development is located within the purchasing unit and plays a key contribution to the overall success of the company. You will be responsible to evaluate and develop the component & assembly supply base for on-going groundbreaking activities related to Division Electrification Solutions within Vitesco Technologies. The main tasks of Advance Supplier Development are:
**Job description**:

- You **screen global supply bases** in order to identify **technical & or commercial white spots & opportunities**
- You perform **cost-oriented supplier research for new technologies and introduce them to PUR & R&D**
- You run technological **supplier ratings, initiate & execute supplier development **strategies based on SWOT
- You run **design for - manufacturing (DFM )& cost (DTC) workshops **to secure producible cost-effective products
- You co-operate with the **cost value analysis team & design cost masters for new technologies**
- You drive **expert leadership **in order to improve component value with focus on positive commercial effects
- You perform **early technical & commercial alignments with suppliers (ESI) **to reach the overall value sweet spot
- You are part of **manufacturing technology definition** **& component/ system benchmark activities**
- You are driving technical & commercial **gap closure** (cost reduction programs)
- You are responsible for **Value stream Mapping (VSM) **workshops to follow best in class LEAN standards
- You initiate technology **Lessons Learned **for improvements on new, unknown, difficult components.

**Job requirements**:

- You are an open minded & motivated person
- You have completed your studies with a technical and/or technical-commercial background
- You gained experiences in the relevant field of work, ideally in the area of supplier development or industrial engineering - processes from interest:

- mechanics: Die-Casting, Injection Molding, Stamping, Machining, Extrusion, Lamination, Sintering,and/or
- electromechanics: Winding, Electro Chemical, Photolithography, Assembly
- You are confident in the co-work with Suppliers
- You show fluent English language skills (written & spoken)
- You demonstrate Project Management capabilities
- You are willing to travel (approx. 20%)
