Job responsibilities include:
2. Compliance requirements for Maquiladora:

- Put processes in place to ensure that all maquiladora compliance requirements (70/30 asset ownership rule and 10% other services rule) are met
- Monitor key maquila metrics (income for maquila services, proportion of non-maquila services to maquila services)
- Follow manufacturing of goods full cycle for the Maquila to ensure temporary imports of materials are closed against exports of finished machines
- Support budget and forecast process for the MEX operation (TGM and TGG_MXB combined)

2. Customs & Duty
- Oversee Mexican pediments process
- Work with operations to create appropriate documentation for waste, scrap, and other materials that are imported VAT and customs duty free and are not exported

3. Tax compliance activities
- Oversee completion of Mexican income tax return and safe harbor calculation
- Prepare quarterly income tax workbooks
- Prepare tax accrual to tax return reconciliation to reconcile income tax accounts
- Oversee preparation and filing of direct tax, payroll tax and VAT filings and returns
- Oversee/prepare payment requests for income tax, payroll tax and VAT and send to GBS for payment.
- Liaise with Mexican Tax Authorities as required. Manage Tax and VAT audits as required.
- Communicate to Operations any change in the tax regulations and laws, and work with different functional department in order to ensure processes follow tax requirements.
- Monitor CFDI requirements are fulfilled by TGM (creation, cancellation, Payroll CFDI).
- Monitor and Manage “Buzon Tributario.”

4. Financial close and local GAAP accounting
- Prepare Mexican statutory financial statements and reconcile to US GAAP financial statement amounts _(US GAAP reporting completed by GBS)_
- Assist with monitoring of capital expenditures
- Coordinate with Terex GBS Accounting resources as required to support the month end financial close

This team is responsible for influencing business planning and overall commercial structures to minimize the burden of taxation on profits and cash flows. They implement statutory tax requirements. They prepare, analyze and maintain tax reports and other related material. They may be involved in tax planning.
