Descripción y detalle de las actividades Join the Product Line Management (PLM) team as part of the Mobile Solutions Business Unit (MSB) where we work together to drive revenue growth and sustained year over year success for the largest business unit in Skyworks, this position will report to Skyworks Corporate in the USA and will be located in Mexicali, Mexico. One of the key roles for MSB’s PLM team is to ensure all new products are developed with the lowest and most competitive production module cost possible to ensure we maximize our mobile and broad markets cellular design win opportunities. This lowest product cost objective is only possible if we analyze all competitor’s products in terms of technology and cost, and then share this data with our design teams. In this role, you will gain a broad understanding of the cellular 5G market, technology, competition, suppliers, and why Skyworks remains the #1 cellular RF Front-End (RFFE) module supplier in the world. Skyworks' complete RF Front-End module solutions include: SkyOne Modules and Diversity Receive Modules with integrated Skyworks filters, Power Amplifiers, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, etc. In addition to filter integration with TC-SAW and BAW filters, we also integrate Power Amplifiers, SOI Antenna Switches (ASMs), SOI Band Switches (BSWs), matching/tuning, SOI Low Noise Amplifiers (LNAs), silicon controllers, and couplers into a very small packages that are fully matched, tested, and optimized for the best performance. Experiência y requisitos - You will complete teardown and competitive analysis activities including: - Deconstruction analysis of MSB competitors’ modules via decapsulation, high-mag pictures, X-RAYs, 3D-X-RAYs, filter and die measurements, cross sections, SEM, etc. - Create a comparison summary between Skyworks and its competitors’ top layer circuit for every die, PCB, SMD, and each function inside the module. - Support the creation of a cost model estimate of our competitors’ products. - Communicate teardown results to U.S.based product line management team - Ensure the initial teardown/benchmarking report is presented ~2 weeks after the release of every new phone in the market. o Maintain and update a user-friendly teardown database with reports linked to our customer’s phone models or by our competitor and product type. o Supports the Sr Mgr of Product Line Management with the maintenance of cost models for new products developed at MSB. - Update Product Build of Materials in our Finance Database. - Audit the integrated module die and filter sizes. Qualifications: o >5 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, Product/Test Engineering, Failure Analysis Engineering, or Quality. o Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience o Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills o English language skills required to communicate technical work, analysis, and findings.
