Ground & Rail Operations Professional - Mexico
Join our dedicated team at CEVA FM Mexico as a Ground & Rail Operations Professional. This role is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our mission of optimising supply chain efficiency within the Ground & Rail division. As a pivotal member of our operations department, you will play a key role in ensuring the seamless and effective management of logistics services.
About the Role
As a Ground & Rail Operations Professional, you will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence in our transportation and logistics processes. Your primary focus will be on coordinating and executing rail and ground operations, while maintaining high standards of safety, customer service, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations of ground and rail logistics, coordinating schedules, routes, and loads to optimise efficiency.
Ensure compliance with local, national, and international transportation regulations.
Act as the primary point of contact for various stakeholders, including clients, drivers, and rail service providers.
Manage inventory levels and assist in the planning and execution of transportation plans.
Track and report performance metrics, providing insights to enhance operational effectiveness.
Work collaboratively within the team to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement effective solutions.
Assist in the training and development of team members to promote a culture of safety and efficiency.
Handle customer inquiries and resolve any operational issues that may arise.
Key Requirements
Proven experience in logistics, transportation, or operations management within a rail or ground context.
Strong understanding of logistics software and systems; familiarity with relevant industry regulations and safety standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building positive relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Problem-solving orientation with a proactive approach to challenges.
